Looking at the rich history of Piešťany and its surroundings it is very difficult to briefly define historical determinants that have influenced the atmosphere of the area where the investor decided to locate the hotel resort. Besides natural features such as morphology of the land, beautiful view, existence of the curative spas we were impressed by the fact that L. van Beethoven stayed just in the vicinity of this place in 1801 which is not so impressive by itself, but it was this place where he composed world-wide known Moonlight Sonata. He commuted from Villa Bakchus, where he stayed, to the spa island and maybe this environment was one of the inspiring factors leading to the creation of this amazing work. This fact inspires us to maintain and aggrandize Beethoven avenue and incorporate it as a recreational promenade around the new relaxation spa, the name of which we borrow from the Master – thus the name: Moonlight spa or Moonlight SPA resort.
