The project describes the possibilities of use of Ostrava city territory and making river Ostravica navigable. In several cycles it offers new services for Moravian – Silesian region, from development of leisure time activities, relaxation, sports and entertainment area through creation of new employment opportunities and in its final phase the opportunity for business and industry development. The construction implementation project of the new relaxation zone with the installation of the vessels on Ostravica river in the three hundred thousand centre of the region – the city of Ostrava – is based on the intention of making DOL /Danube – Odra – Labe/ navigable and its aim is to point out the suitability and possibilities that would be created by further development and potential implementation of the historical concept of making the river navigable. This pilot project of leisure time and sports activities with the base in the form of vessels should become the icon of the region and natural place for meetings, recreation, sports and relaxation in the Moravian – Silesian region and for presentation of services and overall development of the region brought about by the continuation of the DOL project.
